Card payments

1. Who pays

The customer pays the listed price. The card fee comes out of the business payout. It is not added on top of the customer’s price, and it is not shown to the customer at checkout.

The owner sees the fee before a live charge. The charge on the customer’s card statement shows the business name. One fee covers the card network, Stripe, and iThinhTech. There is no second processing fee and no monthly card fee.

2. The three card rates

The rate depends on where the card is taken. A declined or canceled payment is not charged.

• Salon Tap to Pay on iPhone: 2.99% + 20¢. A $50 tap costs $1.70. The salon receives $48.30. A $20 tap costs $0.80. The salon receives $19.20.
• Nail supply reader at the store: 2.85% + 15¢. A $50 charge costs $1.58. The store receives $48.42. A $20 charge costs $0.72. The store receives $19.28.
• Pay now in the Nail Supply Customer app: 3.25% + 35¢. A $50 payment costs $1.98. The store receives $48.02. A $20 payment costs $1.00. The store receives $19.00.

Paying in the app costs more than the store reader because an online card costs more to process than a card tapped in person. The customer still pays the same merchandise price either way.

The fee applies only after payout setup is finished and the payment succeeds.

3. Payout account

The owner turns on card payments and finishes payout bank setup. Salon Tap to Pay, the nail supply reader, and Pay now in the app use that same payout account. After that, each successful card payment is split: the fee stays with iThinhTech, and the rest is paid to that business bank account.

Until payout setup is finished, the full charge stays in the iThinhTech payment balance and is not sent to the salon bank. Each salon has its own payout account.

4. Standard payouts

Standard deposits to the salon bank account are free. They follow the normal bank deposit schedule.

5. Instant payout

An instant payout costs 1.5%, with a minimum of 50¢. The amount, fee, and net deposit are shown before the owner confirms. Nothing is sent until the owner confirms.

The card network’s cost inside that fee is 1% (minimum 50¢). The rest is our fee.

• A $100 instant payout costs $1.50. The salon receives $98.50. The network cost is $1.00, and our fee is $0.50.
• A $20 instant payout costs $0.50. That 50¢ is the network minimum. Our fee is $0, and the salon receives $19.50.

6. Refunds

A full refund returns the customer the amount they paid and returns that payment’s card fee with it: 2.99% + 20¢ for salon Tap to Pay, 2.85% + 15¢ for the nail supply reader, or 3.25% + 35¢ for Pay now in the app. The refund goes back to the original card. Bank posting time depends on the customer’s card issuer.

7. Disputes

A card dispute costs $15, charged to the business payout account. The disputed amount can also be removed from that payout account while the dispute is open.

8. What this policy does not change

• Software subscription prices on this website are separate from these card fees.
• Cash, Zelle, Cash App, and Venmo are not charged a card fee.
• Customers do not see these rates at checkout. The business pays them from the payout.
